| The focus of Christian Hohmann Fine Art is International Contemporary
Fine Art, mostly from Europe and the United States with an emphasis
on Figurative Art. Christian Hohmann comes from a family of
art dealers and gallerists. Galerie Hohmann was founded by his parents in 1976 and The Hart Gallery by his aunt Eva Hart in 1998. While he was still studying Art History and Economy, Christian opened his first gallery in 1995 in Hamburg and then a second gallery in Berlin in 2001 (both Germany). From 2002 to 2009 Christian was the Director of The Hart Gallery, which represented many of the European artists in their locations in Chicago, Carmel and Palm Desert. Since Eva Hart retired in 2009, Christian Hohmann continues the representation of European artists in the tradition of The Hart Gallery in the United States while his parents represent these artists in Germany and Europe. The gallery participates in important international art shows, represents several artist's estates, publishes books and catalogues and curates exhibitions. Today the Hohmann/Hart family represents and/or works with more than 200 artists and over 2,500 customers and collectors world wide.
